These cookie cutter plungers are great, and it is nice that Ateco has made plungers for the major baking holidays (Christmas, Easter, and Valentines. These plunger cutters are nice to use to make cookies like animal crackers, toppers for ice cream, decorate pastries, piecrusts, or toppers for cupcakes. I also buy the William Sonoma piecrust cutters because they are similar in size (slightly smaller) and have a touch more detail.Nevertheless, Ateco has brought out a product that leaves lovely impressions on your cookies and has motives that are very versatile. I used the bear, heart, bunny, and butterfly to make mini cookies that I dusted with pastel colored sugar for baby shower cupcake toppers.Tip: If the dough tends to stick to your plunger dip it in flour to prevent sticking.

I really like these cute mini plunger cutters. They cut out the design as well as leave a design in the cutout. Great for pies and making cookies. I used these this past Valentines day, when I made mini pies and top them off with a cut out from the pastry to place on top of the fruit pies. I place 3 different cutouts on top of each 5" pie, instead of making a top crust, came out great, Also a good tip, brush with egg white to help them brown and show up the details of the cookie print.

These are adorable, particularly the strawberry and the teddy bear, not sure what I'd use the dove for but I'm sure I'll come up with something. My only issue is that they are quite large, I'm sure it will make decorating on them easier but I would have liked them to be a bit smaller as I was hoping to use them for cupcakes.
