Upon arrival the package actually contained the following: Wand, Lipstick, Ring, Crown, Princess Dress and Castle. (Last two are different.)My wife ordered this set just to get the Unicorn cookie cutter. She was very disappointed as she needed this particular one for this weekend.

They're cookie cutters, so it's not like I expected a lot. It just seems like the "lipstick" (that's all I can figure it is) and the "ring" are a waste, and the wand is nearly impossible to use because the points are so skinny and small. But if you need a crown and a princess, grab this set - those are great! Oh, and I didn't get a castle... not sure why.

I love baking cookies. It's my hobby and I make more cookies than I could possibly eat. Making the simple spritz is something that I have never made before so I wanted to buy in inexpensive press to see if I would like it. I read the reviews prior to buying so I was leery and didn't know what to expect but I liked the price. I didn't use the recipe on the box because I have a cookie "bible" that I always get my recipes from. (please see end of review for recipe- it's a keeper, trust me!)In the end, everything about this press was easy and quick. For so many times of rolling and molding and dropping cookies to be able to simply place and squeeze was a welcome change. The tube was easy to fill, the trigger was accurate and the cookies were cute. I will note that in order for the trigger to work the plunger teeth *must* be facing the handle. Nowhere in the directions does it say this and I was confounded when it wasn't clicking at first. After fooling for a minute I figured out what I needed to do. The trigger was comfortable and easy to use. Even my 4 year old helped. Every cookie looked like a clone of the next.Taking note of the reviews of broken plastic pieces I was very aware of how tight I was tightening the threads as I believe that was the cause of the problem with many of these reviewers. The rings only need to be finger tightened. There is no need to give an extra twist to make it air tight. The press actually need a bit of air exchange in order to work properly so it is probably why reviewers were also having problems with dough leaking around the rings.I hope this helps some make a decision, I had no problems with my press and I believe it will be a good one to have for the yearly Christmas cookie bake marathon!Christmas Spritz2 1/4 cup flour1/4 tsp salt1 1/4 cup powdered sugar1 cup butter, softened1 egg1 tsp almond extract1 tsp vanilla extractfood coloring, optionalPreheat to 375. Mix butter and powered sugar in mixer bowl and beat until creamy. Beat in flavorings and egg. Gradually add flour and salt until well blended. Tint if desired. Bake for 10 minutes or until just set and not yet brown.

Unlike the other reviewer, I've had no problems for many years. I use the cookie recipe provided on the box, roll a bit of dough into a log, fill the tube, and do one click per cookie. One tube-full is about 2.5 dozen cookies, ish (about one cookie-sheet full--yes, the cookies are of dainty size). Ten minutes in the oven and you're done! The first cookie per tube-full is weird-shaped (okay, for the cook!) but the others do well. Clean up is pretty straightforward: twist off the cap, pop out the cookie-shape insert, twist off the tube and wash.

Worked great -- for two batches

This cookie press was easy to use and made nicely shaped cookies, but the plastic ring collar broke in the middle of the second batch of cookies. We used the recipe on the cookie press box and our dough was well-softened and not very stiff, so I don't think we in any way abused the cookie press. It's simply a poor design. That's too bad; I'd be happy to pay a little more for a higher-quality product.

I bought this product to make large home-made biscuits, using Southern Biscuit Formula L Complete Biscuit Mix. Add a wood cutting board to sprinkle flower on, roll the mixed dough, cut the biscuits into shape and there you have it! The stainless Ateco cutter is sturdy, is as described, and gets the job done! Now, I can bake my own biscuits, know they're fresh and enjoy the convenience of not having to find a place to go buy them and hoping they are fresh.

Better than expected...

I had looked at many on line items for oval crinkled cutters. I hoped for a nice quality, and that it would arrive in time for me to use on a baking project. It arrived within 2 days! I was very happy about that as it gave me an opportunity to experiment before the actual project. The cutters are exactly what I wanted. There are both scalloped and plain graduated ovals, are a good weight/quality and cut nice clean scalloped ovals. The storage tin is nice, as well. I would definately order from SuperiorKitchenGadgets again.

Great alternative to the round cutters I have. Set has both plain and crinkled edge for whatever you need on different projects. Great to have this set for momogramed cookies also easy for message cookies. Can be used as a template for paper crafting too!Study construction and easy to work with. These cookie cutter plungers are great, and it is nice that Ateco has made plungers for the major baking holidays (Christmas, Easter, and Valentines. These plunger cutters are nice to use to make cookies like animal crackers, toppers for ice cream, decorate pastries, piecrusts, or toppers for cupcakes. I also buy the William Sonoma piecrust cutters because they are similar in size (slightly smaller) and have a touch more detail.Nevertheless, Ateco has brought out a product that leaves lovely impressions on your cookies and has motives that are very versatile. I used the bear, heart, bunny, and butterfly to make mini cookies that I dusted with pastel colored sugar for baby shower cupcake toppers.Tip: If the dough tends to stick to your plunger dip it in flour to prevent sticking.

The shoe is a bit smaller than I was expecting, but not bad. The other shapes are very nice. You get a ring, a handbag, a t-shirt, a shoe and a dress. Very cute and sturdy.

I love that these cutters come in a set but a most of them are smaller than expected. The shirt, dress and shoe are much smaller than expected. Not as small as my "mini" cutters but not as a large as a standard cutter. If you are making favors, they're are perfectly sized, however. I just wish the product description had provided dimensions for all of the cutters in the package.

These biscuit cutters arrive within the time they said they would. If you are thinking of ordering them, I can tell you they are good quality and a good price. I have had cutters before that rust after you use them. I like the idea that they have a handle on the top to help in cutting out what you need. I make short bread cookies all the time and they work great for that and also scones. You will not be disappointed with this set. They also have a scalloped edge on them which is nice.

For years, I couldn't figure out why my biscuits while good just didn't rise. After a little research, I found the culprit was my habit of using the jelly jar. When I purchased this set, I used it for Saturday breakfast. Sam recipe, superior results. Finally light and fluffy biscuits (I use the recipe from Martha Stewart's Baking). Using the right tool and technique made the best biscuits ever as stated by my extended family of 6. Pro-tip - cut but don't twist, this prevents the edges from sealing. While I like the variety, I found the largest 2 cutters get the only action in my kitchen. Good quality product at a good price. Also, once you learn to make this relatively simple delight, you'll skip the prefab ones.Enjoy!!!

Adorable and useful

I see so many uses for these unusual cutters. Of course you can make small frosted cookies to give as party favors in baby showers; or you can give the cutters themselves as favors. But what I'm using it for is to cut gumpaste decorations for cupcakes. I am making a small wing for each bird using a small heart cutter, painting in eyes and beaks, and they are coming out adorable. So much easier and more unusual than making the usual gumpaste flowers. I love it!
