The description on the product that says 3.5 x 3.5 x 1 inches is misleading. That's the dimension of the entire round tin. Each cookie cutter is less than 2" x 2". That's only good for a teacup or toy dog. I have uploaded a picture. Please take a look before you buy.

I really love these cookie cutters. To give you some idea of size, the bone cutter is probably about 1 3/4 long. Its about the size of commercial treats for small to medium dogs, so if you've got a big dog you might not like these. I even tried the recipe it comes with, and she liked it. We actually tried four recipes, and her favorite was the Peanut Butter Pumpkin dog treats from allrecipes.com: [...](a close second was the cheesy beef from the same website).I do have some complaints. The bottom of the house and the legs of the dog cutters are too small, and end up looking deformed and often burning. I generally just stick with the bone, the fire hydrant and the paw. I also suppose that they are sort of flimsy, but really i'm not using them every day (I made four batches in August that will last me until christmas, and gave about half of them away to other dog owners) so I doubt they'll ever break on me.

I tried to make tiny sugar cookies and these cutters were so flimsy they wouldn't even cut through the dough, plus the first time I washed and dried them I found rust all over the edges the next day. I certainly wouldn't want to use them on anything food related. Maybe they might make a good drawing stencil.
