If your are cutting a pie in a store bought pie pan, such as a pumpkin pie from the grocery store bakery, it fits just right. However, my pie pans, that I bake with at home, are larger and the cutter doesn't cut a complete slice. But, it does leave enough of a line for me to finish the cut myself. So, it perfectly measures the slices for me, cuts most of it, and gives me a beautifuly cut pie with beautiful slices to serve.

I bought this item because I sell pies at a local Farmer's Market and want the slices to be more uniform. So far very pleased with the tool. It is kinda fun to use and works perfectly. Saves me a bit of time when I have numerous pies to slice up and package and I feel much better serving my customers a more consistent serving.
