I bought these on a whim after seeing the cookies made from this set of cookie cutters. You get 6 different shapes -- which is a fairly good deal for the price you pay. They're not made extremely well... after all, it's just thin sheet metal that's been bent a certain way and one edge is wrapped around over itself to prevent cuts. The other side (the side that is supposed to cut into the cookie dough), is a little sharp and I can see that a finger could get cut if you're not paying attention.One thing I wasn't sure about were the size of the cut-outs when I bought this. There was nothing to give it a sense of scale. Fear not, I have uploaded a photo of the package with a 6" ruler for comparison -- the cookie cutters make "regular" sized cookies.

Everything looks IDENTICAL to the photo... much to my relief.. some other sites carried the "When the Cat's Away" 6pc Cookie Cutter sets by the same maker, in fact, but the cat silhouettes were different from these... and instead of a mouse, many came with a fish cookie cutter. Also, the prices for this item on Amazon were far better...so I waited for it to be back in stock. And the wait has paid off... I got exactly the set I was hoping for... the one I ordered...and it is EXACTLY AS SHOWN..down to the raffia bow. =-) We are very very happy with them and looking forward to making some beautiful cookies and using them to cut fondant shapes for cake decorating... and my little girl will even be using them with her play dough. They're gorgeous. Not to mention the great service... these were due to arrive on the 14th, but they got here EARLY on the 11th safe and sound.

These cookie cutters arrived nicely packaged. I gave them four stars because some of the tails (especially the mouse tail) are very thin and fall off. I have nothing against Manx cats or mice who encounter farmer's wives with carving knives but they might have looked prettier on the serving plate with tails. Then again, it could be user error because I'm not the best cook.
