The cookie-cutter-style forms make it easy to get the right sized pieces for the construction project, so you don't have to worry about measuring rolled-out dough and cutting walls. The gingerbread and icing recipes are very easy to follow, with handy tips, such as rolling out the gingerbread directly on the cookie sheets, which eliminates the stretching and sticking that almost always occurs when moving cut cookies from counter to cookie sheet. User Opinions

Good for kids
Tina McKee

These cutters make a cute little house but it is not for perfectionists. The cutters are flimsy and go a little cockeye when you are cutting the dough, making for a slightly off-kilter house. But my 5-year-old was the architect and she didn't seem to notice. These cutters will probably only last a few seasons so if you're looking for something sturdier that will last a make a presentation-worthy house these aren't it. If you're just looking to have fun with your kids these cutters will do the job.

A hit with the grandkids!
Aspasia Darkstone

I used this kit to make gingerbread houses for each of my 4 grandchildren. I let the kids do the decorating. They were absolutely thrilled with the houses! The cookie cutters worked great - I had no problem with them whatsoever. I used the gingerbread recipe from Martha Stewart's 2008 Holiday Special Issue and glued the pieces together with lots of royal icing. The entire project WAS time consuming, but I would tackle it again just to see the looks on my grandchildrens' faces.

Don't waste your money

First off, the picture is completely different than the description. The picture shows icing tips and what looks like a pastry bag, they are NOT included in the box. The box itself shows on the front a gingerbread man, that cutter is also NOT included. The cutters are completely flimsy and won't last long. The recipe is CRAP. It is a horribly constructed recipe that turns out disgusting dough that is a failure when baked. I am a very good baker and this recipe is doomed to fail. You'd be better off pulling a recipe from the internet and cutting your own dough with a knife. This is the only year I've gone the "lazy" route, and I'm never doing it again.Third of all, after you waste your money on this CRAP and try to use it, you can't return it. You can only return it if you keep all original packaging and NEVER open the box. It's glaringly obvious that Fox Run doesn't care about satisfying customers or even care about selling a quality product.WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME
