These are lovely, average sized cookie cutters. They quite work with the shape of Hello Kitty, and making cookies with these using icing/color (or just plain!) are sure to please any fan.I had been really wanting a similar item, a Japanese-exclusive cookie cutter and stencil set, but Amazon did not offer it: with such a kit, you can place a stencil over a cut-out food item (such as sandwich, cookie, or brownie) and dust powdered sugar or cocoa to give Kitty a face.However, I found a way to make my own with what the item gave me!*Using the Package to Create Stencil for Powdered Sugar/Cocoa/Spreading Icing*I was frustrated that I couldn't find one, but THESE cookie cutters offered a solution right on their packaging!Scaled images of the "correct" icing/color for Kitty are printed right on the backing.If you cut out the cookie-sample-image shapes, leaving a small tab to act as a handle during future use, you are left with silhouettes of Kitty.Use a craft knife to cut out the parts (such as color portion of bow, eyes, whiskers, and nose) that you want sugar to cover. If you don't have much stencil-making experience, I suggest reading up a little first, or making a copy of the packaging before going at it in case of mistakes. Enjoy!

I actually really love these cookie cutters. I've always had a problem trying to mold Hello Kitty's head/body and this definitely helps me out! The only reason why I give it 3 stars is because I went to wal-mart about 2 days after these arrived and found the same cookie cutters for $2.50 :-( Don't I feel stupid!So just a head up, check wal-mart or maybe party city first if you're looking for character cookie cutters, they may have them cheaper!

My daughter requested Hello Kitty cupcakes for her third birthday. I am not a cake decorator (or an artist!), but I do enjoy making my kids' birthday cakes every year. That being said, the idea of trying to make Hello Kitty had me freaked out. I was thrilled to find these and even happier that the HK face cutter was the perfect size to fit on top of a standard size cupcake. I used these to cut fondant and then decorated the fondant like Hello Kitty. Do yourself a favor and don't throw away the packaging as the pictures on the packaging make a great template for getting Hello Kitty's eyes and nose in the correct places. I have also used these to make sugar cookies with my daughter and they work well for that.
